Founded in 1949, St. Mary's High School is a Roman Catholic,
Parochial, coeducational, college preparatory school serving
the diverse educational needs of families in the Diocese of
Rockville Centre and the Diocese of Brooklyn.
St. Mary's High School is conducted by dedicated Lay and
Religious men and women who value their ties to the Sisters,
Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the Marist
Brothers and continue their commitment to preparing young
men and women for college and life-long learning.
While celebrating the uniqueness of each individual, our
mission calls us to continue our tradition of spiritual
development, academic excellence, friendship, service,
responsibility, and citizenship into the twenty-first
century.
Spirituality

At St. Mary’s High School, our educators seek to blend
intellectual formation with a religious vision, and academic
freedom with fidelity to the Catholic tradition. Our diverse
student population works together everyday with the faith
that “All are one in Christ.”
St. Mary’s strives to develop knowledge in our students from
the perspective of service and justice in school, in church,
and with all humanity. In each of the four required religion
courses, students explore the Bible as well as subjects such
as morality and ethics in modern society.
St. Mary’s Campus Ministry offers many programs to meet the
spiritual needs of our students. Day and weekend retreats
are available to students in each grade. Campus Ministry
also provides opportunities for community service, group
Bible Study, training for Eucharistic Ministry and Retreat
Leadership.
Furthermore, the student body is a welcome part of St.
Mary’s Parish family. Students are served by two priest
chaplains, attend school liturgies and prayer services, and
they are welcome to spend free time in the church for prayer
or meditation.
