Format for Graphs  

 

 

 

 

1. Your graph should occupy at least 75% of your graph paper -          (5 points)

 

2.  X and Y-axis should be labeled with name (4 points) and units.          (2 points)  

 

 

3. Give your graph a brief title that describes which variables were plotted.

(4 points)

 

 

4. Always put the independent variable on the x axis. (Time is always an independent variable)         

                                                                                                                                    (4 points)

 

 

5. Use a best-fit line if your data approximates a straight line and a smooth

    curve if your plot  seems to curve up or down.                                         (5 points each)
